How do you use your strengths in your job?
In my job, I connect with people of all ages and backgrounds and need to be able to assess how to get their creative juices flowing which includes being able to listen, instruct, and have fun with them.

What was your biggest learning challenge in school?
My biggest challenge in school was understanding and believing that the 'grade' doesn't mean you are a success or failure.

What motivates you to go to work?
I am motivated by the commitment to my customers, the responsibility to pay my bills and the success I want my business to be. I also thrive on the everyday challenges that I face because I would be bored without them.

Every job has specific skills. What do you need in yours?
I need to excel at interacting with people on all levels, at all times. The job is physically demanding and can be crazy busy, so I always need to bring my "A" game to work. Many contemporary ceramic studios fail because their owners created them for “fun” and a “hobby”. You have to incorporate the business with the art. I am successful because I deliver a good service and people come back and/or tell others about their experience at my studio.
